Q. Do you have an Animal Boarding License to board Dogs?

A. Yes. I’m fully Licensed by ‘Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council’ To Home Board the dogs from 2 households at a time, My License is on display in my home and is due to expire in December 2018.

Q. Are the pet services that you provide Insured?

A. Yes. All the services that I provide are covered by ‘protectivity’ pet business insurance and my insurance certificates are readily available for you to view on request.

Q. What is the procedure should my pet become ill or have an accident whilst under your care?

A. Should your pet become unwell or in need of veterinary attention your named vet will contacted immediately, should I be unable to get in touch with your vet in sufficient time I will then contact the nearest vet, at the same time I will also contact you(or your emergency contacts if you are unreachable at the time).

Also I have recieved Cat & Dog first aid training at myerscough college, I keep a well stocked pet first aid kit so I’m able to carry out any initial first aid necessary prior to getting your pet to the vet(should a vet be needed)

Q. How do we book our dog/s in for home boarding?

A. If you have never used roundRway for home boarding before then first you need to contact us via this site, phone, email or facebook, to begin with i will check the dates you need are available, If the dates are available the we will arrange a meet and greet along with your dog/s (usually at my home) so that i can meet your dog and see how he/she gets along with my 2 dogs (and 1 cat) , we will discuss your dogs needs and requirements and you will also have to complete a registration form.

Then if all goes well and a 20% deposit is left your dog will be booked in,

But if there's some doubt as to whether your dog will be suitable for home boarding in my home I do offer a free trial (either an afternoon or evening at my home(or
even a trial sleep over if possible)

Q. What Do I need to provide for my dogs stay?

A. Must Haves-
● Your dogs vaccination card(showing that your dogs annual boosters are up to date)
● Enough of your dogs usual food to last the full duration of the stay
● A suitable and secure collar & Lead
● Any medication that your Dog needs
Possibly Also:
● Food bowl

Q. Where will my Dog sleep?

A. To try and make your dog feel at home as possible I ask that you provide their usual bed or Crate if they have one, But if they don't really have a bed that they prefer, then not to worry your Dog would have access to most rooms in my home So I'm sure they will pick one of the many comfortable spots and spare dog beds to kip in.

No Kennels are used at roundRway

Q. Does my dog need to wear a collar and ID tag as well as be microchipped?

A. Yes. By Law Dogs still need to be wear  an id. tag as well as be micro-chipped, But I do have some tags made up ready with my business name and number on that i can attach to your dogs collar during the stay.

Q. Will my dog be walked off lead?

A. Yes, But only if you agree to let your dog be walked off lead and only if your dog has good recall and is well socialised with other dogs & people.

Q. Which Areas do you cover?

A.

● For ‘Dog Walking’ and ‘Home Pet Visits’ I cover Blackburn, Lancashire + a few miles (inc: Rishton,
Gt harwood, oswaldtwistle, Darwen….)

● For ‘Home Boarding’ you are welcome to come from as far as you are prepared to travel to drop
off and collect your dog.

(Although I may be able to pick up & drop of your pet for boarding  for a small fee)

Q. How many Dogs do you walk at a time on your ‘Group Dog Walks’?

A. I Generally limit myself to 4 dogs, I  personally find this is a good manageable number for me and I find walking the dogs in these small group sizes allows me to give each of the dogs all of the 1 on 1 attention they need. (the only time i’ll walk more is if i choose to bring along one of my own two dogs or a dog that i'm currently boarding)

Q. How do you know if the dogs will all get along on the group walks?

A. I meet ALL new dogs and their owners first prior to deciding whether I think their dog will be suitable for Group walks, we will discuss your dogs personality and temperament during the registration process and there is the option of a free short assessment walk to see how well the dog walks and how they respond to me.

If I don't think that your dog is currently suitable for group walks we can then discuss the possibility of ‘Solo dog walks’

Q. Do you board cats?

A. No. I’m not licensed to board cats and personally as a lifelong cat owner myself I believe cats are best left in their own home whilst you are away and Visited a couple of times a day to check on them and see to their needs.

I do though offer Home pet visits of various time duration's and i can see to your Cats, small and exotic pets whilst you are away from home.
